A great time was had by the small knot of homies that craned their necks between sips of draft Ranier to treat their eyeballs to a mix of nostalgic (bones brigade stuff, chocolate classics including ‘mouse’), historic (skateboard kings, a bbc documentary from 1978) and current (éSpecial) skateboard videos projected with DJ Pat Smith’s selection of skate rock. By the way, Pat’s not afraid to mix out johnny rad’s cliche monologue about not looking too hard for animal chin.
So, the event is a weekly one at Dunes, 1909 NE MLK, and you can keep up to date on here on this blog, or directly on the myspace page
oh yeah, we also highly encourage people to bring videos they own, or have made, or have remixed, etc.

Leonard and I are starting a regular video and more night at Dunes!
It’ll mostly be skate videos with some other random crap thrown in, and especially games and prizes, so come on down when you get a chance!
In case you didn’t notice that the image is a link,
here is the link to the coper club’s myspace page.
Guess who :: “Don’t do a nose pick with a coper.” ??

This just in from Dan Garland of the Pharmacy:
There is a new opening coming up this Saturday night at Pharmacy. This time around it’s the artist by the name of WiSE. He is a really great guy and his work is amazing, so I hope you can come by and meet him. Also, the show will be a benefit for Skaters for Portland Skateparks and all the work is going to be priced affordably, so you can come see some great art and help get more skateparks built in Portland all at once!
Voodoo Vegan donuts will be in the house as well.

About The Artist:
Wise draws heavily from his own life in his work and paints a colorful world
that is a mirror of his own reality, exploiting imperfections and praising the
norm. His inspiration varies, ranging from a strangers smile to a phone call
from a friend. Wise works entirely with recycled materials, discarded wood and
miss-mixed house paint.
